happynewyearThey say that when you are happy time goes faster. I might have been very happy this Christmas break because I feel as if it was yesterday that we were dancing at our December party. To be honest, I do not relish the idea of getting up again at 5:00 am, but just thinking of all the interesting projects and activities that lie ahead of us this school year makes me excited about coming back to school. January is here and I am looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
I imagine time went as fast for you as it went fast for me, and I hope it is because you were happy in the company of your family and friends.
Good news is that we are teachers and our passion is to inspire our students to learn, to be better, to grow and to reach their dreams. Our students have high expectations and we will be there to help them in any possible way.
On Tuesday, we will have time to do some Professional Development workshop early in the morning and the rest of the day will be for you to redecorate your classroom and plan your week. Students will be back on Wednesday and we want this to be a regular day (no assembly). At the end of the day on Wednesday, we will have a regular teachers meeting to take a look at the calendar for this semester. On Thursday, we will have a Student assembly in the coliseum during Advisory time (8:15).
Some news fyi:
There is a new student in 8th grade.
MS classrooms E1-E4 are being torn down and the new constructions area is being isolated.
I wish you all the best this 2016!
Yours,

Adalberto Loaiza-Arango
